any good material out there where i can get started? anything good to purchase off the net or websites with good instructions?i would prefer a book with instructional cd to go along with it... thanks...

If you are a complete beginnier to fingerpicking (ie. need to learn the basics of the alternating bass, syncopation, etc.) before jumping into Grossman's MJH book, I would recommend a book/cd set...

www.breakdownway.com is Jorma Kaukonen's online tutorials. He has 3 or 4 that are pay lessons, but one of them, How Long Blues is FREE. He breaks it down to learn by ear -- no tab.
